Flying guns could be outlawed in Michigan skies with drone bill

LANSING, MI — Drones have raised concerns about privacy, airspace and accidental crashes that could harm people on the ground. But a Michigan lawmaker wants to ground another potentially deadly issue before it has a chance to take off. “We don’t need flying guns in Michigan,” Rep. Jon Hoadley, D-Kalamazoo, said about a bill he introduced in June meant to outlaw weaponized drones, or drones with guns or other weapons attached.
